How we handle your information
Last updated: January 2024
Look, we're architects not data brokers. When you reach out to us about a project or just browse our site, we collect some basic info – but we're not doing anything sketchy with it. This policy breaks down what we gather, why we need it, and how we keep it safe.
We built our practice on transparency and trust, so that's exactly how we approach your privacy too.
When you contact us through our website or phone, we typically collect:
Our website also picks up some technical stuff automatically – your IP address, browser type, pages you visit. Pretty standard internet stuff that helps us keep the site running smooth.
We're not collecting data for fun. Here's what we actually do with it:
Responding to your inquiries – Can't help design your dream space if we can't get back to you
Project proposals & consultations – Need the details to put together accurate concepts
Ongoing project communication – Architecture's collaborative, so we'll be in touch throughout
Improving our services – Understanding what folks are looking for helps us get better
Legal requirements – Sometimes regulations mean we gotta keep certain records
Your info stays pretty locked down. We don't sell or rent your personal details to anyone. Period.
That said, we might share limited info with:
Everyone we work with is bound by confidentiality agreements. We take this seriously.
Yeah, we use cookies – the digital kind, not the delicious kind. They help our website remember your preferences and understand how visitors use the site. Most browsers let you control cookies in settings if you're not into that. Just know that blocking them might make parts of the site a bit wonky.
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access. Our systems are regularly updated, access is restricted to team members who actually need it, and we encrypt sensitive data transmission.
No system's 100% bulletproof, but we're doing everything reasonable to keep your info secure.
Under Canadian privacy laws (PIPEDA for the policy nerds), you've got rights:
• Access what personal info we have about you
• Request corrections if something's wrong
• Ask us to delete your data (with some legal exceptions)
• Withdraw consent for us to use your info
• File a complaint if you think we've mishandled things
Just shoot us an email at studio@pyresthalquorix.info if you want to exercise any of these.
We hold onto your personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes outlined here, or as required by law. For active projects, that means throughout the design and build process plus a few years after for warranty and legal reasons. If you're just making an inquiry that doesn't go anywhere, we'll typically purge that data within a couple years.
Our site might link out to suppliers, partners, or inspiration sources. Once you click through, you're on their turf and their privacy policies apply. We can't control what they do, so check their policies if you're concerned.
We might update this policy from time to time as our practices evolve or laws change. We'll post any revisions here with a new date at the top. Major changes? We'll try to give you a heads up through email or a notice on the site.
If anything here's unclear or you've got concerns about how we handle your information, don't hesitate to reach out. We'd rather clear things up than have you wondering.
